MARATHON AND HALF-MARATHON TRAINING PROGRAMS CREATED BY COACH PAUL CARMONA

RunTrainRace provides the Official Online Coaching Program for the Portland Marathon and Half-Marathon. Coach Paul Carmona created the RunPortland Online Coaching Program in 2019 and has continued to coach runners for the marathon and half-marathon through 2021 and 2022. Drawing upon his experience racing and training in his home city of Austin, Texas, Coach Paul developed this training program to prepare runners for the course’s moderately rolling hills in an urban setting.

The RunPortland program includes complete training schedules with daily workouts and weekly targets, along with detailed instructional videos and resources about how to complete certain workouts. As with all programs he coaches, Coach Paul communicates with runners via weekly emails that explain workouts, offer tips about staying healthy, and invite participants to provide their feedback about training.
